According to an unconfirmed report, AT&T is in the process of prepping the Nokia N71 for release on its network. The report is unconfirmed but it comes from BGR which is usually reliable. Nokia announces WiMAX-supported Internet Tablet

Nokia has unveiled a new version of their Internet Tablet that supports WiMAX. It is expected to be launched in partnership with Sprint's new WiMAX network which will be released later this year. The new N810 Tablet is expected to ship in the summer of 2008. Google Search for S60 Devices

Google has released a Google search application for Nokia S60 phones. The application places a shortcut to a Google search box on the Idle screen for quick access to Google search. The application only works on the idle screen on devices with either a "Ctrl" or "pencil/edit" key. Other devices can access the application from the application launcher. Boingo Expands Support to Windows Mobile 6, Symbian/UIQ

Wireless service provider Boingo has expanded its systems to offer wireless services to devices running Windows Mobile 6 and the Symbian OS with the UIQ interface (Sony Ericsson smartphones). Before the latest Boingo update, the wireless provider only supported Microsoft's Windows Mobile 5 and Nokia's S60 interface. Samsung announces G810 slider smartphone

Nokia E90 gets an update

Nokia has apparently released a new version of their E90 smart phone. Pictures of the new device originally appeared on a German web site. The E90 suffered from a problem where the keys would touch the screen when the device was closed. The new E90 version 2 apparently solves this problem. As you can see in the picture all the keys are at the same level and do not touch the screen when the device is closed. Continental to offer in-flight Wi-Fi

Continental Airlines today announced that it has entered into an agreement with LiveTV, L.L.C. (LiveTV) that will allow Continental to offer 36 channels of live, inflight satellite-based television programming provided by DIRECTV(R), at every seat on Continental's new generation aircraft. If you fly Continental airlines in the next three months, and have a connection in Houston, you'll likely be able to take part in a pilot program that allows passengers to board flights using just a cellphone or PDA instead of a paper boarding pass.
