Nokia officially announces the N8

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - April 27, 2010

Nokia has officially announced the Nokia N8 smartphone. Packed with high end specs, the N8 will be Nokia's first Symbian^3 phone. The N8 will be the flagship device for the new Symbian OS.

Mobile Review has published a review of the N8 and they were less than impressed with the N8. The hardware is fine, but MR says Symbian^3 is unpolished.

Nokia N8 Features:

  • 3.5 inch capacitive multi-touch touchscreen with gesture support
  • Multiple homescreens with widget support
  • 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon Flash
  • HD recording and on-phone editing
  • Facebook and Twitter integration via homescreen widgets
  • HDMI support
  • 16GB on board storage
  • WebTV, Ovi Store
  • Ovi maps with walk and drive navigation
