News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - January 30, 2007

Here are some cellphones form Philips that stretch the meaning of long battery life. The Philips Xenium Phones have a standby battery life of 40 days with talk time of 10 hours.

There are 3 phones currently in the Xenium line, the Xenuum 9@9a, 9@9d and 9@9t.

The Philips Xenium 9@9a (far left) is the most basic of the Xenium line, but has the longest battery life. With talk time of up to 10 hrs and standby of 40 days you'll be talking to your friends forever before you need a charge. The 9@9 phone is a GSM 900/1800 phone, supports SMS, EMS, MMS and WAP.

The Philips Xenium 9@9d (center) is a more advanced phone with slightly less battery life. The 9@9d has 8.5 hrs of talk time and 30 days of standby. In addition to basic phone features the Xenium 9@9d addsa 1.3 megapixel camera, Java 2.0 support, USB 1.1, Bluetooth and IrDA connectivity and 18 MB of user memory. It also works on GSM 900, 1800 and 1900 networks.

The Philips Xenium 9@9t (right) is a smartphone. This one sports the same 8.5 hours of talk time that the 9@9d has but it also comes with a 128×160 65K touchscreen display, handwriting recognition, stylus, mp3 player and MiniSD memory expansion slot. Interestingly, there is no support for Bluetoooth or IrDA here.

These phones are in Hong Kong at this time. No word on whether these phones will hit the US.
