Trojan writers seem to be taking aim at Symbian phones. SimWorks, a Symbian anti-virus specialist announced it has discovered 52 new trojan viruses that affect Series 60 phones using Symbian OS v6.1 or newer such as the Nokia 3650, 6600 and 6630. So far no trojans affect UIQ based Symbian phones such as the popular Sony Ericsson P900/910 and Motorola A925/1000. All of the trojans appear to be cracked versions of popular Symbian applications such as BitStorm, BugMe!, Cosmic Fighter, 3D Motoracer and SplashID.
