Handheld Shipments Up Worldwide

Brighthand is reporting that the number of handhelds shipped worldwide was up 20.7 percent during last quarter. The article quotes figures from market-research company Gartner Dataquest.

"During the third quarter of this year, 3.45 million units were shipped, making this the best third quarter ever for handheld shipments. The industry is on track to surpass 15 million handhelds shipped this year, easily breaking the record of 13.2 million in 2001."
